Everyone's a critic

Everyone's a critic

A Poem by willweb

O

I walked outside this morning

and the moon was directly overhead

It was so bright it felt like a spotlight

So, I started singing...

Here comes the sun

do, do, do, do

Here's comes the sun, and I say

It's al...

Well, before I could even finish the first verse,

a big cloud rolled across

and covered the moon,

leaving me standing in the dark

Sheesh, everyone's a critic

(Maybe I should have sung

"Moonshadow" by Cat Stevens)

Sounds like the dark cloud that follows me around all the time. Please send him back when he's thru with you, thanks. ...Just a minor criticism, Will, your singing's a little off key.

Oh, I asked them the key and they said B flat. Maybe I took it too literal. : )

...Flat's my singing key too, inherited from my Dad :)
The clouds blotted out your happy:) Isn’t that always the way? Someone or something just has to do that.

I would have been happy still with the Beatles singing Here comes the sun even if it was dark.

Another fun write from your pen will. Now weren’t the Beatles just ace ?

She obviously wanted to hear a jingle about herself not the sun ha ha and rightly let you know in no uncertain way

Perhaps roll over Beethoven next time

Thanks Tania. I am happy you liked this.
Well you just can't please them all, dear Willweb. You light a lamp and go on with your singing. The breeze will carry the critic cloud away. I loved this poem.
