Silhouettes in moonlight

Silhouettes in moonlight

A Poem by willweb

~

Cotton candy swirls

on a pink flamingo sky

Feather pillow wishes

that are slowly floating by

Apricot horizons

glowing softly ‘cross the hill

Twilight born emotions

falling on this night so still

Sweet seductive touches

to caress my quivered skin

Satin slipper kisses

moist along my lips again

Silhouettes in moonlight

move within the rhythm found

Whispers midst the darkness

come a most melodic sound

Sighs that lace the heavens

flow from breaths in rapid pace

Tickles formed of pleasure

bring a smile to your face

Midnight moans encircle

as your beauty leaves me numb

Finding love this evening

waiting for the dawn to come

It is funny that some memories linger longest in the mind than others, as well as becoming the inspiration of our writing that bring it flooding back to replay again with a smile finding its way to our lips once more.

It is funny how that happens. Thanks so much again for stopping by this weekend.
The style is quite elegant and pleasant like the wonderful poems we suckled on in Poetry lessons and anthologies, a familiar and well loved feel.

Thanks my friend. I never studied poetry per se...just on sites like this.
I loved the flow of this lovely poem.

Satin slipper kisses...something so beautiful and new you offer the reader here.

The moonlight silhouettes are silken, softly sighing and so surreal.

I absolutely loved the sweet, feathery touch of your words here!
