Magical, serene, happy. Taking away the sad to another place entirely. I love these kind of poems. They are right up my alley!!

Though it is written with simplicity and with an idea that has been used before many times, yet, the sheer beauty of your little gem is moving and poignant, the font, the shape and the design of it, make it even more touching, perfection... I can hear it as a little song through the soft winds at that field.

Thank you so much my friend for your kind thoughts. I appreciate your visit
The caterpillar imagery is effective here because it shows life is not static, but dynamic. The cocoon of sadness vanished into a new phase of joy. Thus none of us should give up too soon.
Those butterfly wishes, we do need Will.

I've wished upon a star, over a well, a fountain, a turkey bone in competition for a wish, and over blown-out candles, but never thought of a caterpillar, seems so obvious now ...what better than a butterfly in waiting :) ...of course, with my luck, maybe a moth. ...Yet another cocooned-idea-gem transformed to a butterfly, Good one! ( ...as an aside, can margarine fly too? :)
