Embracing the sky

~

Here I stand

in a lonely field

of winter rye

and dandelion

watching

faint ribbons

of apricot break

across a weary

horizon

 

And as I see

the enchanting

beauty of the

morning sun

embracing a

silent waking sky,

my heart wishes…

I were that sun

and she were

that sky

~
