Even if it's wrongA Poem by willwebFollowing
the shadow of my lost and distant dreams, longing for
the smile once before Nothing
really matters or is close to what it seems, trying just
to even up the score Pathways
lead me walking to a place I don’t belong, weaving
here and there along the way Counting
out my steps I wonder, who could be so wrong, shouting
out with nothing much to say Why is this
so difficult these worried twists and turns, when my
eyes can see what waits ahead Finding
each mistake is how another never learns, maybe it
was something that I said Can’t you
please direct me to the comfort that I seek, just a
guiding hand to point the place Thinking I
am stronger when I feel so very weak, see the
promised look upon my face Life can be
so heavy in a funny wayward state, weight upon
my shoulders pressing down Gazing to
the future for the past is just my fate, poetry
becomes my thorny crown So I sit
here writing out my feelings once again, fighting
fast and hard throughout the night For it is a
curse, my hand just can’t put down this pen, even if
it’s wrong, these things I write © 2023 willwebAuthor's Note
