Washed up

Washed up

A Poem by willweb

It's like that lost sock

spin cycle clicks

laundry is through

it can't be seen

even though it is right

in front of your face

(or maybe just ignored)

Funny, I didn't know

washing machines ate poetry

if that is true...imagine what happens in the dryer?
Perhaps the lines are permanent press...
and the words unwrinkle as we write.

That is a possibility. Thanks Jacob
When the mind is weary. Just need some good song. Maybe a good book? Hello, Will and I hope your muse isn't sleeping.

You are welcome Will.
I find washing machines very tedious and such a chore! So yes, in that way, they do eat poetry and the poetic mood!
