Snow drift dreams

 

Shivering moonbeams twinkle,

whispered snowflakes flutter in their light

Hand in hand we stroll along flurried wishes,

leaving footprints of desire

 

I wrap you in my arms

as ice crystals sparkle on your lashes

and I see a warm spring day

reflecting in your eyes

 

Frosted breezes bring a chill,

blustery through pine needle branches

White blankets on bending silhouettes

swaying to the rhythm of our hearts

 

Still rosy cheeked smiles

and scarf bundled laughter sing,

echoing in snow drift dreams

of love on a winter’s night

I haven't seen snow in a long a*s time. After reading this romantic ode I kinda feel like it. But alas, I live in Florida in large part because I hate the cold. So no snow. drag

thank you! you have made some sense of winter and given me such a scene to enjoy .. and a memory when we rented a cabin in the Black Hills, in the winter .. so peaceful and quiet among the pines .. no one else around for miles .. and a hot tub outdoors .. at night .. with the snowflakes falling .. ahhh! you have blessed me this morning .. and lifted my spirits .. it has been below 0 F. for way too long!! brrrrrrrrrrr!
