Crimson Shades

Crimson Shades

A Poem by willweb

Jumping in the dark abyss

Falling to a wayward side

Asking for the ending truth

Everything I wish to hide

In the mystic atmosphere

Dawning on the broken plain

Can I find the shadowed song

I may never sing again

If I stand will you believe

I am more than what it seems

Reaching out from hidden views

Laying waste my endless dreams

Buried deep of anguished soil

Spitting forth the tainted blood

Mixing into what I am

Crimson shades of destined mud

There you sit with smiled ease

Laughing at this slivered sight

Shaking but a million heads

Shovels filled to kill the light

And I wonder what it means

Will your feelings come apart

Of a man I’ll never be

Searching for a place to start

marvelous musical Will, a change from man of romance to man of music, sadly I would have loved to live the musician life just a pity I lack any musical coordination except through my ears lol, brilliant work Will your standard rises ever higher :)

You are just simply getting better and better and I love this poem. It is a favorite, in my library. I am amazed with this poem. It is the first poem I've read from you that is a departure that seems to something from your soul, your heart, filled with wishes and hope - I am looking at the Boston album cover remembering when I saw them and thinking more than a feeling and this is what it they meant. Thank you. Now I will listen to the music - Profound. Dale

We can never live up to other people's expectations. Heck, we hold out expectations of our selves that are near to impossible to live up to. We all feel that sense of failing everyone and ourselves. I wish we could remember that we can only expect the best we are able to achieve. If we've tried our best, we've lived up to the only reasonable expectation anyone has a right to hold.

You are very welcome!
Hard to live up to people's expectations, you never will live up to everyone's. Some people's expectations simply aren't reasonable. I like the poem Will, it's relatable. We all feel this way at times.
