not wasted by any means Will, i have great fun reading your apparent misery, maybe its not meant to be humour so i apologize but you really do need to get that kiss, i'll text Santa to see if he can call late for you, just don't kiss him though lol

Thanks Richard...and no, I don't kiss anyone, male or female with a beard. :)
whimsical is definitely the word .. strong rhymes and rhythms .. fun to read .. sort of sad in a child like way .. (note: i did not say childish) a fine sequel to "A Letter to Santa" .. there is no answer as to why the Fat Guy did not provide your kiss ... did he give you boots and $5? maybe your supposed to get out there and give it one more try ;} love and peace Will

Many of us are alone at Christmas Will. I went and spent Christmas day with a group of folks in the same position and it was the most relaxed and enjoyable Christmas for many years. Lots of kisses but kisses of respect which were just as satisfying. This is a good piece as it appears th have a sad melody until the final line which unexpectidly injects a lovely humour.
Seems like this is a sequel of your poem "A Letter to Santa".. and you're a little disappointed of him, maybe. ..Maybe she'll kiss you on New Year's Day. Haha.. I love your poem, made me smile. :)

New Years Day, now there's a thought and something to look forward to. :) Thank you so much.
This is so good but sad Will. I love how you've written but you need to get that kiss, just swoop her off her feet and plant that kiss on her lips... done. :)
Loved it.

Always opportunity. Just need new place and possibilities. A sad tale with a hopeful ending. Mistletoe can create chance. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
