In a poem

In a poem

A Poem by willweb

I found you in a poem...

waiting between the verses

as metaphoric visions

pulled me in atop the ripples,

placing me before every winter breath

as I read with my eyes closed

dreaming of what I might find

Thank you so very much Fran.
i love the line "reading with my eyes closed:

that impresses upon the reader the idea that poems aren't so much about the individual words, it is more about closing our eyes, just feeling the piece, taking the ride.

Thank you NB...you don't mind I hope if I call you NB, much easier to type than N----------- :)
Ah such is the infatuation another may contrive upon the poets heart with mere whisps of a pen on parchment. Seriously you are bitten Will; go see your doctor quick! Nice love poem though.

Thanks so much Rita.
Sigh. So much, in so few words. Wonder, can each word be worth a sigh, on the sigh scale?

Just whenever I read one of your poems, Will, I feel a sigh forming.
The imagery was delightful and I loved the lines "pulled me in atop the ripples, placing me before every winter breath. The perception of "what is next", the flow of our minds. The metaphoric visions, very nice. The anticipation of anything, what is it, what will follow. My perception anyway, dreaming of what I might find. Thank you. Your imagination is remarkable.
