The edge of dizzy

 

 

There is so much to see

in this ever changing world

Blistering speeds form

elongated silhouettes

of life in all of its colors

Dark or light, faded or vibrant,

they are mingled in blurred definitions,

images concede defeat as time flies

 

And though I find myself on the edge of dizzy

I need not hold on to keep my balance

Because one thing keeps me level,

captures my focus, steadies my vision

and eliminates the maddening pace

that is all around me…and it is you

 

I can not take my eyes off of you

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note: If I knew how to attach music like some do, I would have attached “Can’t take my eyes off of you” by The Four Seasons, but I don’t know how so…I will just sing it for you.  :)

Very good, Will. It's not a love poem of the sort we are used to read. In the first stanza I thought it talked about sight and insight that makes us dizzy, but it all becomes clear when I've read the second stanza, the anchering and balancing characteristic of being in love. A very fine love poem, indeed. :) Rudi

oh buddy! what a fine love poem .. one to read to my Norma!! .. and great song! i just got through watching "The Jersey Boys" about the 4- Seasons .. i bet you would like it if you have not seen it yet .. and if i can attach music .. you certainly can .. when i have done it i have to try this and that until i get it right .. i bet April can tell you exactly how! nice poem .. enjoyed reading!
