UninsuredA Poem by willweb
In this box, cramped
folded flaps locked in place,
stacked by windows facing the highway
Little light shines
from perforated blinds
hidden deep beyond the pane of this outside world
Cracks seep dusty thoughts
and heat escapes lonely
forecasts where cardboard dreams evolve
Fragile, handle with care
stamped in cargo lettering, broken font,
warn those who might hurt...well, you know
Hand truck maneuvers quicken
as cornering techniques are practiced
in full view of horrified and happy onlookers alike
And from deep inside
my heart pleads, please be careful…
I didn't buy the insurance
