I hope I live

I hope I live

A Poem by willweb

I hope I live to see the day

when long distance is merely a moment,

when every conversation is in person no matter the miles,

when virtual means more than a vivid electronic imagination,

when the definition for disease becomes cured,

when touching can take place wherever you are,

when pain is consumed by happiness,

when kindness is the only law and everyone obeys it,

when just a thought will bring you to me,

when every dream is more real than reality,

when hate is obliterated by love,

when every wish is easily within reach,

when war is only a rock band remembered from the 70's,

when poverty is considered history and

when eternal means you and me,

so I don't have to worry about it anymore

I hope to see a day when a few of you reopen your accounts. I've been reviewing the cafe silent all week and its making me incredibly sad. So I'm going to stop now and focus on open accounts. Keeping you on that friend list though in the hope....against hope.

One day, Will, your poem will become reality, for everyone. Embrace all, with its belief of a better world, is just around the corner. Until then, don't ever lost track of this dream. For dreams have, the power of changing the world, one person, at a time. May that begin here, with the two of us. Thank you, for sharing this beautiful and hopeful poem, with us.

Thanks for this wonderful review Noodlebumble.
There is a sadness and a poignancy to this Will. A melancholy tint in a piece which is dressed in hope but still feels the keen breeze.

Your poetry is so honest, I think this is great!

'when every conversation is in person'....

I'll remember that line
