Little Bird 2

The follow up to Little Bird

 

 

I picked up that little bird

and noticed a pulse

Caressed its wings and

kept it warm until it moved

In its mirror black eyes

I saw a reflection,

it was you - holding me

Oh man I just got over the fact he was gooonnnneeeeee .... now you are telling me it was me all along?

Well, I just want to tell you that whilst I was gone, you know in the afterlife, it was all at once magical and all at once nothing at all, I floated free of all that held me back, I felt an enveloping warmth and a euphoric completion in need of nothing ..

Then I felt a tap tap tap on my chest ... to see your worried eyes looking at me ... as you held me, I knew that I too held you in eternity ...
