Pieces scattered

Pieces scattered

A Poem by willweb

Pieces scattered,

driven by winds of indecision

Words written, my hand,

self cautioned prior to sending

unheeded inner warnings

Emotions crumble

and they fall

to the harsh earth

landing next to my knees,

head hung low

Dreams vanish,

futures evaporate,

death calls, it has my number

leaving a message

without a voice,

only a stare

at a blank screen,

wishing you would write

separating, reaching

running south

across the border

Flights are cancelled,

lost on the runway,

pain in the forecast

I feel it,

clenching my fist

and my teeth

and my everything

Gripping it tightly

as it falls apart

before my eyes,

my world, my heart,

both shattered,

pieces scattered

Every puzzle is made to be solved. Every piece gets back to its place.
Maybe not right now but later. This is poignant and the pain can be felt.
Nicely penned :)

heart wrenching and like
a silent winding Labyrinth maze
like a Eerie scattered puzzle
where do all the pieces go.

we feel when things are falling
apart when they're actually falling
into place so the puzzle pieces are
falling into place but once we notice
and we figure out the puzzle we'll heal
from our storm and see the clearer picture
and there will be a rainbow at the end of the storm
and there can be one in the middle of the storm when
we see the positive part to the storm.

The calm to my storm is Jesus he speaks
to our situations and storms and the storm
quiets down.

Thank you for sharing this
wonderful piece.

Blessings. Benita

You're welcome. :)
Evaporating in the winds of change and not finding a foothold to save you...
Crazy visions enter and make the world turn in the wrong direction.
Nice writing!

You are welcome always!
Every puzzle is meant to be put together. There is an enormous row of intense emotions included in this labyrinth of lostness. Quite alluring and real. Well done. :)

"leaving a message without a voice"

love it---and when you find your voice...when I find my heart...I will call you back...when I can put the pieces back together...my flight to contentment is definitely delayed.
lots of nice metaphor in this.
