Worth itA Poem by willwebYou
said you didn’t know, weren’t
sure what would happen, felt
it, but couldn’t promise the
trip would be worth it Road construction barricades, lane closures, detours There
are so many obstacles standing
in our way, hard
decisions - you think I
should just turn around Turn here, one way No passing, reduce speed Fines double I
will drive no matter how far, how
long, how many roadblocks, just
to see you and
hope you say yes Slow, yield, stop Do not enter Exit only, obey signs Because
in the end my
love for you will guide me, and
even if the answer is no, just
to see you will make this trip worth
