'We all age, change... it was just yesterday we were - young,' Yet. surely, remain the same within.
How Nature and its magic 'stars' fill our hearts and, what's more, remind us human beings that we have those similar frailties and strengths, sights and scents within and about us! Tis wise to remember that whatever lives - for however short or long a time, creates exquisite and ever-lasting memories! Guess - though profession-biassed, I find myself likening plants to people and vice versa more and more these days!
This is such a gentle, loving post, surely created by a person who sees, not merely with a quick look or thought, but, with more than simply seeing truth but feeling it with loving appreciation .. as we all should!
Thank you so much for sharing. This is beautiful.. i love magnolias too.
(My review was too quickly typed and messy, came back to tidy, so sorry.)

Elegantly lacy poetry, Will! A bloom may wilt, but in the eyes of someone who loves it, it is still just as beautiful....it still holds that sweet aroma. Oh, just gorgeous sentiment here. I loved it. Lydi**

You literally took my breath away with this, Will. I am not familiar with the scent of the Magnolia, but the way in which you weaved its brilliance and beauty into verse is stunning! The change of font was quite clever, giving your poem a second voice for us to heed.
This is my favorite of you, and going in my library...thank you, Will!

i was raised in the south. I carry the memory of magnolias - although I am a bit wilty around the edges and I don't smell as nice this poem is resonant.
