Goodbye Saturday NightA Poem by willweb
Drunk on a Saturday night -
Tequila and cheesecake, no candles to blow out salted thoughts after another shot singing in my recliner - out of tune Infomercials keep me company, sort of the half empty bottle speaking to me in spanish It keeps saying "drink me " and I don't understand, but I do That damn clock keeps staring moving, crying teared minutes from crossed arms and I pour seconds once again-seeing the light, ticking me off The sun rises, ending my night bringing a morning I hoped not to know, why am I still here, drunk again, alone again, still saying again Changing channels, stopping on Biography John Belushi - funny guy - no fries, cheeps - I wonder if he's lonely-like me I think I'll go say hi © 2014 willwebReviews
