One way trafficA Poem by willwebLost in the
gears while shifting
through life Highways shave
but a few moments, leaving exits
for the lucky ones Reversed at
those missed but stuck in the
never ending congestion with speed limits
ignored, as is this
feeling traveling
through my body Making left
turns in no passing zones, pausing at
intersections texting at
70, hoping to
meet someone by accident Only to collide
with reality on the
shoulder of a forgotten dream Detours
lead to him, where your
car is parked from the
night before And the
warning light on my dusty
dashboard reminds me
that I am low on fuel, as I coast
down a dead end road with no
stop signs © 2014 willwebReviews
