Somewhere between the rhymesA Poem by willwebDesolate, rubbing my eyes, blurred and sorrow dampened, staring at an empty core of what was once poetry coursing through my veins, that is now something dark, molasses consistency and color, thick, unmoving, draining me of every verse, every thought I can no longer breathe as I wilt on this stem, once alive with happiness now dying in the heat of an overexposed decaying mind connected to a heart that has lost all feeling, numb, nothing Pins and needles prickle my skin from the inside, tissue paper, bruised, scarred draped on fragile bone fading to dust calling the wind to take me home, scatter me in the mud amongst the blank pages of everything I have ever felt - pleading - allow me now to rest eternally somewhere between the rhymes © 2014 willwebReviews
