yeh .. i think so too .. good and blessed day to you will! :))
oh yes, yes, yes ! This tells of that horrible state of limbo or maybe even a fugue (love that word) and its not a happy place to be. I know that I was there for about a year and a half until I realised that sometimes there are no answers and no explanations. Things just are. Once I accepted that, the fog lifted and I stopped exhuming corpses (although I do still use the experiences to write dark when I feel like it, but its no longer my consciousness and I have a trowel rather than a shovel lol). I will dwell on the lines "forgiveness is antiquated" as I tend to think that whatever the actions were that require "forgiving" will return to us eventually, and we will "pay" somehow, so to forgive is pointless. I love your final stanza in its entirety. Penny

A really wonderful write with powerful stark imagery. One thing, consider changing graying to gray -- but maybe it's a syllable count thing, it just seems to read better aloud without the ing.

It makes sense Vidya. Thank you so very much for your nice reviews.
They say that and assuming that none of you will come back at me refuting with goethe's theory of colour (there is always a clever one among the bunch) that light is the inclusion of all colours and darkness the absence and then if machine thinking prevailed you would have been reduced to decisions that would delve in a absolute values. Yet, trying to figure out the sensation of feeling trapped knowing you would rather be somewhere better and that slowly but surely caring and forgiveness seem to be creeping in although evaporating who is to say that condensation wonlt bring them back into you?
Thankyou willweb

Thank you so much Rene for this indepth review of my work. I am happy you liked this one.
There is a melancholy tone to your words that is quite sad..
No nothing is dark or light, black or white, but to think forgiveness is antiquated breaks my heart. Perhaps I am clinging to final poetic phrases of love...of dreams...
As always your poem is brilliantly written and your use of metaphor is outstanding.

Wow, wow, wow! This was truly amazing, your metaphors just stuck out and the imagery was so vivid, you've blown me away, Will.
