Melted

As you poured,

I saw the glass as half full

of which I gladly drank

Too much - it was never too much,

I wanted more - until

 

The ice melted

slowly as I watched,

disappearing before my eyes,

diluting your feelings,

thawed by my overindulgence

 

As you poured,

I still saw the glass as half full,

you saw it as empty

 

I drank way too much  - of you

Yes, I know this feeling -- a thoughtful verse. One thing -- I think you transferred over from another program, and the writing cafe' program changed your hyphen to " mark in last line.
