Somewhere between heaven and twilight (A collaboration with Kalypso)

High within the illuminated sky,

a silver midnight sun....

it seemed like a darker day

found a brighter night,

somewhere between heaven and twilight

 

Majestic oaks in silhouette

and shadows paint the earth,

alive within lemonade shimmers

a' glow of promised beauty,

as the stars sleep...dreaming

The phrase "lemonade shimmers" is as original as they come. Love how you have captured a single moment with words so refined and stunning. Iam still not over lovely phrase. It probably would remain etched in my mind forever.:)

This poem captures a perfect moment. Sometimes I look at the sky and I wish I could take what I see and keep it the way it is forever. This poem does that. It's lovely. My only suggestion would be to alter the end from "...dreaming" to "...and dream." It would make a neater end.

Very visual in terms of symbolism and imagery. I feel the the poems where i can visualize the scent and smell of the situations are the best poems due to actually picturing ones self being there in the moment when reading. Badass read :D
