A Poem by willweb

My mornings should be so much easier now,

what used to be a chore is merely half of a memory

When that alarm clock sings

and I toss and stretch about,

kicking my feet to the chilly floor,

preparing my eyes to accept the rising sun

now gleaming happily through the blinds

I yawn once, maybe twice

before falling back beneath the covers,

and crying in my pillow

Because the mornings are when I am reminded,

I now only have one side of the bed to make

Needles to say, I admire the simple honest emotion and beauty of your words.
As I always do...

Streamline, thank you for your comments on my poem.
This is a heartbreaking poem, Will... makes me think of my mother without my dad... you have captured the essence of the little things carrying great significance.
