Broken moon

Broken moon

A Poem by willweb

I've broken the moon

with a single glance

falling head first into the light

shattering all about me

fragments of what I thought was

stabbing like splinters

deep in my heart

where no light

shall shine again

Woah... This is deep and dark. I love it! I love it when poetry is powerful it's like you can see a movie playing on your screen just by reading your words! Amazing.

Thank you Noodlehead for reading my poem. I am glad you liked it.
I enjoyed the imagery within this poem. Moonbeams morph into shattered amber crystals resulting in eternal darkness.

Thank you for reading my poem Ben
Dark and deep...love the idea of falling onto the light of the moon and shattering it, such an original idea. The fragmented broken shards of light piercing your heart...wow. I really liked this. Good work.

Your Welcome.
Awww I know it's not as bad as that sweetie...is it? I hope not. I'm sure everyone is disappointed at some point at their not reaching certain goals. It just calls for a little redirecting because life will throw you a curb ball now but I recently heard a saying, "It's not how you start but how you finish". The day at over yet young man, "Billy Dee Williams". Brilliant, melancholy poem by the way.
