Broken moon

I've broken the moon

with a single glance

falling head first into the light

shattering all about me

fragments of what I thought was

stabbing like splinters

deep in my heart

where no light

shall shine again

very original ...flinging ones self upon the light of the moon and it shatters .. and then even worse ..becomes multiple shards that wound even more .. where there is no light ... great stuff, says i! .. i really like this concise, piercing poem .. nice job!!
