One Day

this describes my feelings after an altercation between someone I trusted and myself.

You told me it was natural there wasn’t anything wrong

You told me I was where girls like me belonged

You wrapped your arm around me and held me tight

I wanted to scream and put up a fight

But you told me this was okay

Told me I had to listen to what you had to say

I was scared and didn’t know what to do

I thought I could trust you.

You lied to me when you said it wouldn’t hurt

I wish I could have known more been more alert

Stop, Please don’t touch me there

Ow please stop pulling my hair

I don’t like this game it isn’t any fun

Please let me go I promise I wont tell anyone

Get off of me I’m just a kid

Look at what you did

My body is no longer my own

I wonder if I could have known

But you said it was natural there wasn’t anything wrong

You say in your profile that you want the reader to feel when they read your work... And this does it. Completely. I agree that this is very brave writing, and it's definitely a hard hitting topic that unfortunately a lot of girls can relate to. Reading it, one can almost feel the hurt and confusion.. thank you so much for your review. It was definitely a hard decision to put this up but they say some the best works come from our own personal pain. What happened to me was disgusting but I will say it helped me write this and help other people.

Thank you and if you cant look at the bright side of a dark situation then the battle is already lost. That situation took a lot away from me but I am proud to say I won in the end because I didn't lose my happiness. Again thank you and writing is all i know I couldn't stop if I tried.

If one is reflecting on past, present, or prognoses of abuse... it is a gift that you can find the strength to put hardship feelings in words on black and white. This is what I call therapeutic writing and is beneficial in many ways. Keep up the good work. It has saved my life and now I write for beauty, experiences of love, and inspiritation.
