Raspberry Birthmark

A Poem by Gypsy Willow

Wondering what

Tomorrow shall bring

She doesn’t know what

To expect

The chance of a lifetime

Yet she’s drowning in fear

There is a choice

She has to make

She can stand up

For once

Taking her life

Into her own hands

Or she can cower

In the corner

Doing as demons

Instruct

Should she take the chance

And the risk

Of a life far worse

Than this?

Or should she be

Complacent

Leaving things

As bad as they are?

Endless questions

With zero answers

Her mind is in

A whirl

Then the Goddess whispers

So silently true

“Don’t give up

Just tell…”

And she finally thinks

The fog may pass.
