My happy place

My happy place

A Poem by William Evictus
"

This is honestly something I've never told anyone about before ... So lets post it on the internet will That's a great idea will!

"

I know my happy place.

It is not a meadow of flowers and sunlight, not a room of photos and memories, or even a little world of my own surrounded by my loved ones.

It is only me, sitting back on an old, withered oak tree looking out unto the forever ocean presenting the endless sunset I watch.

Here, I can think and try to understand myself better. Here, I take my pain and sorrows and toss them over the edge and watch them fall into Davey Jones’s locker. Sometimes, I’ll lean over the edge and just look down, expecting something to happen. Waiting… for something to happen.

I visit this place often. In times of need, despair, doubt, or when I want the world to leave me alone. For what once started as a quick escape from reality, has now become my sanctuary. My only piece of peace in my life, where I can truly be…

… Alone

I can totally relate to this. My happy place is just sitting by myself and writing.
Nicely done :)
