The Night Path

The Night Path

A Poem by William Coad

Though the road is long

and the dust is thick

which lines this path

as we stick so close...

Though the sun has set

and moon long dead

the forest path

no far ahead and morose.

Though the fog rolled back

into the night

and nothing's left

of our guiding light on the post.

The road comes closest

to it's end around just

one more bend...

I think.
