So much for nothing

So much for nothing

A Poem by William Coad

So much for reason.

I guess its a fact,

there is such a thing

as white and black.

And some much for passion

compassion and so on,

its not really a thing

that we can grow on.

And so much for heart ache

the pain that we feel,

and so much for exaggerated

situations unreal.

We live in this place

that lives for us all.

We stand on the precipice,

and we always just fall.

The darkness surrounds you,

as you crack open your head.

It wasn't like anything -

just that word “dead.”

So much for nothing,

as that's all there is,

but in nothing is something

and a reason to live.

"In nothing is something and a reason to live" I really like that verse for some reason. I enjoyed. Thanks for sharing!
