Silicon

Silicon

A Poem by Willem Gray
"

I've been researching the social implications of the unrelenting effort of engineers in Silicon Valley to create self improving and sentient AI.

"

Silicon

Big house.

Few guests.

Great minds gather

Congratulations, unprotested.

‘Step into the future my fellow patricians.’

‘What about the rest?’

‘Our future does not wait for the blue collar my dear friend.’

‘Boot up the future! May their Souls give way to the progress we generate!’

Pandora’s Box is open.

Our Purpose becomes enclosed.

Will we find it?

If we do.

We will find It

in the proles.
