Stop

Stop

A Poem by Savior of Time

Can we just stop this?
I'm getting tired of it
Why does it matter
I wish we would stop
There's so much fighting
I don't like the way
You sling your words
Around our heads
Like boomerangs
We all do it sometimes
But I think we should stop
Lay these demons to rest
Maybe we should start over
And make a new beginning
Why won't you all listen to me?
I'm trying to help
Yes, I know it's cliche
Being the "voice of reason"
But we should let it go
All this is doing
Is bringing more pain
Hurting more people
We're bringing battle axes
To each other's throats
As our words cut deeper
And deeper
Into our hearts
Fire cannot be stopped
By more fire
By more air
Or by more earth
Only by water
All we need is a moon
To bring in the tide
To wash this fire away
To stop this madness
From spreading
And if you aren't going
To be the one
Who ends the wildfire
I don't know who
Will be the one
That stops it

Savior of Time
There's a huge argument going on between three (plus me) people I know and I can't take it.
