The Powerful StormA Poem by Savior of Time
I smell the sweet scent of the rain,
As it trickles down my face, Soaking my clothes and books, Starting to seep through into my briefcase I hear the rumbling of thunder, As it pounds in my chest, Seems like it's trying to stop my heart, Something it seems to do best I see the blue streak of lightning, As it splits the sky in two, I watch as it strikes a strong standing tree, Sending all of its energy into I feel the crystal clear raindrops, As they splatter onto me, Exploding on my clothes and on my things, Only drenched in this is what I can be I taste the freezing cold water, As it hits my pink and white tongue, Sliding down my throat, Like notes in a song I have sung I am the powerful storm, As it is all around my being, Wind, water, lightning and thunder Overwhelms me, leaving me dead and bleeding
