Rain

Rain

A Poem by Savior of Time

Let it come down,
Sprinkling,
Pouring,
Thundering,
I don't care how,
Let the rain come down,
Give Earth her medicine,
The cold water touches my face,
It feels so good,
Even though I may be freezing,
Shivering in this melted ice,
I'm happy,
I hear a crash of thunder,
See a flash of lightning,
I start running in this rain,
Not really caring where I go,
Just keep running,
It lets me cry,
Without anyone knowing,
So I stop to,
My tears mix with the rain,
I sniffle in the cool temperature,
Deep breaths come in and out,
Closing my eyes,
I envision a horrible scene,
The rain stopping,
It's evil for the rain to stop,
Just let it come down,
Let it be free,
Do what it desires,
You could be considered a raindrop,
You should be able to do what you'd like,
Be happy,
You should fall when you need,
But pick yourself back up when you're okay,
You may get caught in a puddle,
But you can find your way out of the crowd,
And be who you want to be,
So think of yourself as the rain,
Let it come down,
Let it be what it is,
Let it be free,
Let you be you

I love the rain...:) and you know why. Rain is powerful and I loved your analogy of us as rain. So peaceful and free...another absolutely and stunningly brilliant piece by Willa. (aka you)
