In Memory of You

For those who I lost,

The ones that fell,

For the old and kind,

And young and weak,

I will remember,

One last time,

I don't want to let go,

But it is for the best,

I need to let go,

And stop living in the past,

It is what you would want,

And what you demand,

So here is my last goodbye,

To those who I've lost,

To my great grandmothers,

I didn't know either well,

To my lost dog Chew,

You always protected me,

My loving shepherd Sweety,

Always there to comfort,

And finally to you,

To you,

Who I can't even name,

There when I was weak,

There when I was sad,

There when I smiled,

Always there...

Then you where gone,

I will never be able,

To pay back that smile,

To comfort you when your down,

To hold you close or give you strength

I will always regret,

Having never paid that debt,

But it's time to let go,

And set both of us free.
