Cursed WorldA Poem by WillaDanversSometimes I can't breathe, and sometimes I don't want to.Tears
streaming down her face, Choking on
her own bloody breath, Knowing she
caused her own pain, By giving
her heart to somebody else, Nails
drawing blood in her palms, Hair
falling out in clumps of fists, Scream
slipping through trembling lips, She falls
apart, alone in her room, Silence
filling the space between sobs, Pulling her
close, consoling her heart, It’s always
been this way, my dear, Crying
alone in the darkened silence, Memories flashing
through her mind, Emotions cascading
in broken pieces, She doesn’t
know how to stop it all, Falling
apart with black wishes, Eyes drawn
to the basket of pills, Wanting to
disappear in the night, Closing
those eyes once and for all, Slipping away
from this cursed world, Broken
hearts twisting her lungs, Choking on
her own bloody breath, Searching
for any reason to stay alive, Drawing
blank, in the silence of her room. © 2020 WillaDanversAuthor's Note
