Places to Go

Places to Go

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

Sometimes I just can't find the point in doing this, and others the sunshine is enough to convince me.

"

They all have places to go,

Somewhere out there, anywhere,

I’m left wondering the purpose,

Of going through all of this pain,

Staring into the future,

All I see in blank nothing,

My hopes crushed into the ground,

Nothing left to do here,

Holding on only lasts so long,

Dwelling on smiles barely there,

Waiting for someone to come home,

At least they have somewhere to go,

My room is overfull with my tears,

Shed in those moments,

When all I have is to live for others,

No reason in my own life here,

Empty, dark and crumbling,

Everything I ever wanted taken away,

Those dreams I had as a little girl,

Died many years ago, gone,

Living to make others happy,

When I have no joy of my own,

Seems pointless because at the end of the day,

I have nowhere else to go or hide.

I do understand these words dear Willa.
"Living to make others happy,
When I have no joy of my own,
Seems pointless because at the end of the day,
I have nowhere else to go or hide."
I feel the same way as the lines above. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
