TimeA Poem by WillaDanversTime can be so cruel sometimesIs there any time left
in the day? When the sun parts the
sky, Dousing the world in darkness,
Leaving us to sleep till
it’s return, Is there any time left
in the day? When the clock hits 5,
6, 7, 8, Job finished but there
is no steam left, You’re too tired to do
anything else, Apologizing day in, day
out, It’s the same old
routine, Work takes everything from
you, And I’m not blaming you,
I promise, I’m just wondering if
there is time, Time left to remember
me, love me, Or am I on the back
burner now? You’ll get to me if you
have a spare minute, Is there any time left
in the day? Do you have any time
left for me? Or are you too busy
fulfilling your own life, That you forget that we
have something, I’m not blaming you baby,
I swear, I just want to know if I’m
wasting my time, My heart is yours, and I’m
here to stay but, Is there any time left
in the day? © 2019 WillaDanvers |
