Soft MidnightA Poem by WillaDanversI shouldn't stay up so late because it messes with my brain
Talking into the AM,
Connections being forged,
Memories played to a tune,
Words passed back and forth,
Learning of new things,
Finding mistakes and errors,
Troubles spoken lightly,
Smiles hidden under midnight,
Found something that’s not right,
Unable to speak her mind,
She waits with encouraging words,
Only so much one can do,
Something she understands,
Only all too well,
Past, present and clearly future,
She’ll do again until past remains,
Maybe it’s only a page,
A chapter or a whole novel,
She can’t determine,
But that doesn’t change the fact,
She shall help if you’ll take,
It doesn’t have to be obvious,
Hidden under midnight,
With soft spoken words.
