Colour Me BlueA Poem by WillaDanversA touch of hope can either create dreams or nightmaresCaught unawares, she found herself, Searching the room for a certain colour, Allowing but a second before returning, To the façade everybody recognizes as her,
Smiling and joking with the few, Bringing humour into dry and slow, Wanting to look again, but shan’t, It hasn’t been long enough,
But she does anyway, because, She follows her own rules, always has, Behind the thin wall of glass, Lies blue intrigued and calm,
Day shifts to evening eventually, She managed to say something, He laughed, and she felt hopeful, The start of the evening breeze,
It’s that kind of mood, everyone is happy, She found something when she wasn’t looking, Something awakened, lying still no more, Waiting for the next phase, soon,
Counting the days until again, Blue lies behind a thin veil of glass, Hidden smiles and glances shared, Starting something worth having.
