Je rêveA Poem by WillaDanversMy mind doesn't stray from this dream, and I think it is just the world way of telling me that it is something that needs to happen.I
dream of the accents in sweet, Loitering
beneath outsider ear, The
coffee and croissants, A
daily touch to my young day,
Fast
paced life, with very slow days, Living
complete in a small world, A
little apartment up so high, Looking
over multitudes of orange rooftops,
I’ve
been there once, dreaming, It
passed like the light, too fast, Only
evidence of this once upon a time, Pictures
and memories, I hold them dear,
A
life lived in a peaceful image, Romantic
language filling my head, Rolling
off the tongue with ease, Teaching
me something unforgettable,
Settling
into my bones, the city of love, No,
not the city, but the country holding, Croissants,
coffee and the red, red wine, A
place I will one day call my home,
I
long to hold his hand, and love him, In
the language of the French, I
dream of nothing better than this, Sipping
my wine, and staring into his eyes. © 2018 WillaDanversReviews
