Jade and Azure

The connection of two souls forever meant to be - we can only hope that our reality matches something like this

It’s the tender way you kiss me,

Under the shining of my dreams,

It’s the honest way you love me,

Without a wandering thought,

 

Unexpected moments of peace,

Curled up in your arms watching,

As our lives drift past, intertwined,

Something that was always meant to be,

 

Not once holding me back,

Nor forcing me to take a step,

In a direction, I do not want to take,

Instead, having my back forever and always,

 

My heart beats for you, and you alone,

Forging an iron-clad promise in us,

We keep moving, our feet dancing,

Beneath the stars of those who once loved,

 

We can’t let go, we won’t let go,

Of the things that started our journey,

A small whisper amongst playful promises,

The hook of your pinky around mine,

 

The connection of jade and azure,

The love of two hearts beating one,

I cannot find a way enough to explain,

But I love you, forever and always.
