![]() A girl that dreamsA Poem by WillaDanvers![]() Frustrations at work do a poem of suffering make![]() Teeth clenched and spirit storming, A love of hatred building, The need for redemption hidden, Waiting to strike, a moment unsuspected, Only young, but expectations piled, Only learning, but mistakes a fould she doth make, Thrown down and stomped upon repeatedly, When she dared a question to ask, The need to leave building upon day, Struggling in a position others don't understand, Frustration boring holes in her sanity, Seething with helpless anger, a silent death made, Half the reason of her suffereing, The treatment of a child to bear knowledge, Decades in the field only a year to gather, His actions and words bring her heart to hate, A passion she holds, a flower to never die, Staying here, a flame that cannot live on, Stuck between choices, for her or to dream, The question of a broken sanity, or home to be, A slow and painful death of dreams, Twirling arund the head of a child, Waiting for her chance to shine, Though the constant shame of shadows thrown at, Small town hopes and dreams eager to please, Those that feed a mouth and supply the roof, To create a future to support the life of, A girl with dreams dying today.
