Peace of Tomorrow

Peace of Tomorrow

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

A current situation that is quite freaking me out, so I tried to write to try and distract myself

"

The feeling of unwanted eyes

Lingering on silent movements

Cold shivers of whispers

She hides behind the slim of chance

Avoiding the common of places

Hiding the nature of who she is

Pretending to be just another

In a room of silent empty

She stands out in a crowd

A pop of blue in a world of grey

Hair floating down to her hips

Chocolate brown and wild like her soul

She can’t help the way she is

She can’t help the way they are

Cold and gripping eyes watching her

Not leaving her a moment of peace

Anything to be obscure

She pleads with the time she has

Keep me hidden and keep me safe

Counting her blessings true

Silently watching, he doesn’t move

Stuck in the passing of time

She hides behind the slim of chance

For just a second of safe peace.
