Dystopia of CreationA Poem by WillaDanversMy demons have followed me t the other side of the worldGreen
blurring past the sight of eye, Dots
of colour mixed within, Songs
dancing in the ears of hearing, Creating
music and haunting dreams,
Slipping
into the dystopia of creation, Reality
and dreams crossing lines, Unable
to determine which is real, Stuck
in the rut of what is her life,
On
the other side of the world, Struggling
to smile and keep walking, Demons
crushing her joy, again, Finding
a way to keep her down low,
Mood
souring, unable to be lifted, Trying
time and again to be joyous, Failing
to be the wild adventurer, Living
life on the wild side, whilst young,
Missing
the safety of home, Never
wanting to return home, Unsure
of the things she once knew, Everything
thrown into turmoil,
Slow
motion running, life on speed, Green
fading into grey, monochromatic, Songs
dulling into the sound of heart beating, Steady
rhythm, stuck in a rut of her life,
The
world moving on outside the window, She
sitting down, crumbling and cold, A
failure to the eyes of those who matter, Slipping
into the dystopia of creation,
On
the other side of the world, Missing
the safety of home, Failing
to be the wild adventurer, Stuck
in the rut of that which is her life. © 2017 WillaDanversReviews
