My Dearest ElaineA Poem by WillaDanversTrying a different perspective, and a different themeCrinkles appear alongside your green eyes, Your pink lips twitch at your own joke, Your head thrown back, unable to contain, The bubbly laughter that is your personality,
Long blonde hair swaying as you move, Flicking as your fingers slide through, Caressing your angelic face once again, Keeping my attention dead locked on you,
My heart warms when you look my way, Your soft slow blink squeezes my emotions, Tugging at my heart strings as you move closer, Tucking your arm around my cold waist,
I swear my heart is beating a million miles, Loud enough for the whole room to hear, But I don’t mind, not even a little bit, Because you are in my arms, where you belong,
I haven’t told you this yet, for I am afraid, That I will send you running, far, far away, But that does not diminish this feeling at all, This feeling, that grows every day for you,
I never thought I would call you my own, I only dreamed of the things you could offer, Sweet kisses and heavenly hugs, Joyful laughter, and deep conversation,
But here we are, standing together, Wrapped up in one another, warm, Facing the world as one, forever, Hearts beating as one, hiding truths,
I love you, I love you, Beyond all the stars in the sky, You have changed my world, Beyond my wildest dreams,
So, I’ll continue to watch with a smile, As you giggle at your own terrible jokes, As you love with your whole being, Because I love you, and forever will. © 2017 WillaDanversReviews
