Hidden Tears

Hidden Tears

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

Sometimes writing is the only way to accept the harsh and painful truth of never going to happen.

"

Hidden Tears.

Hiding under the shadows of night,

Seeking comfort in monsters under bed,

Tears free falling, running from aching heart,

Stubborn mind creating havoc where e’er it goes,

Visible proof unable to sway stupidity,

Admitting hopeless truth breaking empty life,

Boundaries installed for reasons, now useless,

Unable to change past mistakes,

Not existing outside of her mind,

Reality hadn’t a chance to kick in,

Darkness enveloping her in cold comfort,

Destined for lonely heartbreak forever more,

Wings dipped in tar, covered in feathers,

A cover hiding the heavy weight beneath,

Timid smiles and believable laughs,

A cover hiding the heavy weight beneath,

Knowledge in the destroyer of imagination,

Hope is the killer of self-esteem,

Words lingering in mind’s eye,

Taunting a broken mind’s hopeful spirit,

A chance that never existed paired with,

Naïve heart that dared to dream,

Tears free falling, running from aching heart,

Admitting hopeless truth breaking empty life.

Yet again ... a masterpiece! Knowledge in the destroyer of imagination,
Hope is the killer of self-esteem,
so so true... I felt the sadness ....and you capture so much wisdom !!
