Dancing with the DevilA Poem by WillaDanversDancing With The Devil
Another lost soul, Stumbling around in the light, Cloaked in a frame of darkness, An enigma of all things,
Heart torn from weary sighing, Feet forever moving, Lungs dying for touch of air, Spirit flattened amongst broken ribs,
Shadows cast immediately around, Take me home, take me home, Left alone in a new place, Light shining, much too bright,
Dancing over rooftops, As graceful as a butterfly, Lighter than the air itself, Nothing heavier than her soul,
No longer in control, Tears bound to never fall, Concrete frozen features, What a sight, hidden under shadow,
Controlled from down below, She is to do naught but his bidding, Hands flying out, grasping, Feet twirling in the other direction,
Dancing with the devil, Only the strongest dare to try, None do make it out alive, For your soul is his to keep, forever more.
