Secret Place

We all have our secret place....dont we?

Secret Place

Deep within my mind I keep

That secret place where I don’t weep

Of precious memories and our fleeting life

loves first kiss and newborn life

A caress that lasts a thousand years

The Joy and sadness of children’s tears

Fingers touching as we sleep

Knowing we can never keep

Secrets which would end our fears

This poem was a piece which speaks of an individual's soul. So multi layered is each person. The complexity is real. I understand how a memory can surface in our heart in our mind unexpectedly at times. Yes this was understandable for sure. Honest writing.
